The year 2020 saw almost no impact from typhoons or autumn rains. The production volume of red wine increased dramatically, and the number of premium cuvées grew. As a result, the Woody Rouge blend includes grape varieties blended for the first time.
From the beginning, what we seek in our regular red wine is smoothness and approachability. By keeping the extraction of all grape varieties, including the main Merlot, moderate, we aim to suppress bitterness, astringency, and green notes, making the fruitiness more noticeable. While the original characteristics of the ingredients are toned down, the overall balance becomes very mellow, and the aroma spreads complexly. The flavor is already at its best when released after aging from bottling.
The tannins are extremely gentle, so it is also recommended to chill before drinking.
