The Merlot planted in 2019 has reached its fifth year, and we have finally been able to harvest a substantial amount.
Only the Merlot from this plot was fermented in a separate tank, and it was clearly different in appearance and aroma from those of other plots. It had a very rich, powerful aroma and flavor.
Ultimately, Merlot as a red wine is now only from this plot.
The quality of the red has improved dramatically, so I am increasingly looking forward to the future.
A deep garnet with a purplish tint. Fresh black fruits, cassis, currants, cherries, and the scent of fresh wood from the barrel. The structure of acidity and tannins is solid, and the aftertaste slowly continues with fruitiness and gentle sweetness.
The youthfulness of the vine age stands out, but it is well balanced and enjoyable to drink even now.
