Rikuzentakata City in Iwate Prefecture, a long-established apple-producing area, is a rare and blessed fruit-growing region on the Sanriku Coast.
Carefully crafted small apples for cider use. Pesticides are minimized for environmentally friendly cultivation, using apples bathed in sea breeze and sunlight. Since our own brewery is under preparation, we brewed using equipment from another brewing facility.
Carefully handpicked apples were crafted with a wine-like taste in mind, resulting in a dry, refreshing, and fruity flavor. The vibrant golden appearance is elegant, and the 375ml half bottle is easy to carry and a perfect amount to drink, ideal not only as an aperitif but also for outings like camping and picnics.
The delicate bubbles complement the sweetness of vegetables and create a refreshing finish when paired with fried foods. The mineral notes from the sea breeze match well with seafood flavors, making it perfect with seafood tempura. Enjoy chilled from the refrigerator along with your meal pairing.
The label expresses the flavor through makeup, hairstyle, and color. "Cuvée M" represents the transformation of apples into cider by "makeup," symbolizing the "M" in both "M" and "Mikazuki."
In 2022, the apples were harvested after ripening fully on the tree. Oak chips were soaked for 14 days, giving a subtle barrel nuance. This label is limited to 1,400 bottles.
