"Vignerons Reserve" is made from 100% grapes grown in our own vineyards. Among these, only carefully selected grapes are used, making it a representative wine of Villadest.
The carefully nurtured Merlot was fermented using "kamoshi fermentation" in oak vats and then aged for about a year and a half. This red wine combines elegant fruit flavors with spicy aromas, offering a robust taste along with softness and depth.
The winter of 2021 was mild, but due to continued low temperatures from early spring, bud break occurred around Golden Week, which is about average. Although the rainy season ended early on July 16, rain continued from around the Obon holiday in August, causing some concern about the ripening of the grapes. However, from September onward, the weather turned to clear, refreshing autumn days, allowing sugar levels to rise rapidly while acidity was maintained, resulting in the harvest of high-quality, healthy grapes.
