A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, and others cultivated in our own vineyard at an altitude of 700m, aged for 12 months in barrels. It uses the same blend as the Bordeaux region of France (Bordeaux blend). By blending, it combines the tannins and strength of Cabernet Sauvignon with the richness and mellowness of Merlot, resulting in a highly refined wine.
This is like the second label of the Château Azumino series. It is about 2,000 yen cheaper, making it a very good value wine considering its quality.
When sipped, you can sense aromas of coffee and chocolate from the barrel, cedar leaf-like scents, and rich fruit flavors reminiscent of dried prunes. Upon swallowing, the acidity and astringency blend harmoniously, spreading a concentrated sensation of fruitiness and extract. With a high usage rate of new barrels, the barrel flavor is distinctly noticeable. Recommended for those who enjoy barrel aromas. This is a dry red wine with a medium to full body, featuring a soft and smooth mouthfeel, astringency that follows, and a perfect harmony with the barrel aroma.
