The year 2020 had almost no impact from typhoons or autumn rains. The production volume of red wine increased dramatically, and the number of premium cuvées grew. As a result, the blend of Woody Rouge includes varieties blended for the first time.
From the beginning, what we seek in our regular red wine is smoothness and approachability. By keeping the extraction of all varieties, including the main Merlot, moderate, we aim to suppress bitterness, astringency, and greenness, making the fruitiness easier to perceive. While the original characteristics of the ingredients are subdued, the overall balance becomes very gentle, and the aroma spreads complexly. The flavor is already at its best as it is released after a maturation period following bottling.
The tannins are extremely gentle, so it is also recommended to drink it chilled.
It is a flavor that will be useful for various everyday dining tables.
