Opportunities to enjoy "Steuben" on its own are quite rare.
There are few producers cultivating it in Kamiyama, and even in all of Japanese wine, wines mainly made from Steuben are very rare.
This time, we received this rare Steuben from Mr. Morishita, a fellow farmer and wine enthusiast, and turned it into wine.
This year's Steuben had a high sugar content and showed promising quality, but just before harvest, we faced a difficult situation when one of the heaviest rains of the season caused the thin-skinned Steuben to crack.
Among them, we carefully selected and harvested.
This wine, which has the characteristic aroma and flavor of the Labrusca variety, is sometimes mistaken for MBA or Delaware in blind tastings, but you can clearly feel the unique personality of Steuben.
It has a fresh fruit flavor harmonized with a moderate acidity.
