The Fanpy series aims to explore the potential of table grapes and to achieve a fun and happy flavor.
The grape varieties used in this orange sparkling wine change almost every year, but in 2023, it is based on Delaware and Niagara, with small amounts of Koshu, Sauvignon Blanc, and Kerner blended in. Aiming for a light orange, the maceration period of the base wine is short, at most about two weeks. During maceration, microorganisms were activated to create distinctive aromas on the top and aftertaste, as well as a gradually spreading flavor.
From the glass, you can smell red-fleshed melon, amber candy, and nuances of spices, with muscat in the background. When sipped, light bubbles and gradually spreading umami expand, making it truly attractive. Orange wine based on Delaware is a wine that especially shows potential among Japanese wines, and by adding a small amount of Vitis vinifera, it has become a flavor that can be recommended to wine lovers without any sense of discomfort.
