Curvedocchi / Flamingo (Pinot Noir) 2022 (Red) 750ml

Using Pinot Noir vines over 20 years old from our own vineyard, we aimed to create a gentle flavor that seeps into the body.
2022 was a harsh year with rain during most of August and September. Its impact is reflected in the liquid as gentle fruitiness and higher acidity.
To be honest, the harvest season was a vintage that caused us a lot of worry about what to do.
The charm of sandy Pinot Noir lies in its gorgeous aroma, but if the base fruit is weak, the balance falls apart.
As a result, the microbes activated more strongly than usual before fermentation and the whole clusters added to provide complexity somehow maintained the balance.
Right after uncorking, it has a slightly reductive character with a metallic and gunpowder scent, giving a somewhat firm impression, but for this wine, that actually serves as a good accent.
It becomes softer and smoother over time, so I hope you can enjoy it slowly.
