For the Merlot from the two vineyards, we usually waited until the Cabernet Sauvignon harvest period.
Being able to avoid the late rot disease that troubles us almost every year was also a factor that allowed us to extend the harvest.
Considering that achieving the expected maturity is quite difficult for this variety, the planted area has gradually decreased compared to the founding period. Therefore, the regular Merlot released as a regular red wine from 2013 to 2017 was discontinued from 2018.
This time marks the return of the regular Merlot after about 4 vintages. It is by no means a rich flavor, but it has a spicy and green essence reminiscent of Merlot from cool regions, combined with the harmony of cassis and plum flavors. Since it is released after a certain degree of aging, there is no confusion about the best time to drink it.
