Using Merlot and Marselan from Shiojiri, Nagano Prefecture. Marselan is a variety from southern France, a cross between Cabernet Sauvignon and Grenache. After aging separately for 27 months in old French oak barrels, they were blended. The deep cherry red color is accompanied by aromas of ripe prunes, hay, cinnamon, and nutmeg. It has a rich fruit flavor and firm tannins, resulting in a well-balanced taste.
