Chateau Mercian / Shiojiri Merlot 2018 (Red)
Regular Price ¥7,260/
including tax
This red wine features elegant and soft tannins made from "Merlot" grapes grown in the Shiojiri region of Nagano Prefecture. It offers a well-balanced sensation of robust fruitiness, spicy aromas, fresh acidity, and rich tannins. Grape cultivation has been practiced in the Shiojiri area since the Meiji era, and in 1976, contract farmers who sympathized with the vision of Usuke Asai (Shogo Asai), known as the "Father of Modern Japanese Wine," began cultivating the "Merlot" variety. Today, it is one of Japan's representative Merlot-producing regions.
