Barrel-aging the deeply colored Shokoji, which is derived from native Japanese wild grapes,blending it with the domestically improved Muscat Bailey A,we produced a "Japan Blend" wine using only these two domestically improved varieties.
Both Shokoji and Muscat Bailey A are barrel-aged. Barrel aging the strongly acidic, deeply colored, and light-tasting Shokoji adds smoothness and complexity, while enveloping it with the floral aroma of Muscat Bailey A.
