Regular price ¥3,850A red wine blended from Merlot, Petit Verdot, and Kerner.
Destemmed and crushed Merlot and Petit Verdot with Kerner juice added, fermented with natural yeast for 11 days with gentle pigeage every other day. After pressing, aged for 8 months in old barrels. Sulfur dioxide used only 10 ppm at bottling.
We also made it in 2023 kisui, but this is a red and white blended wine that I especially love even in mixed fermentation. Transparent red fruits and the floral flavors like white wine, it’s a mysteriously alluring liquid that somehow makes you want to reach for it.
Cold, damp, shaded red fruits, tanned leather, refreshing herbs, grapefruit, muscat—these elements are scattered throughout and spread multilayered into the finish along with soft tannins.
Since it has only been 5 months since bottling, it gives an impression of coarse texture. If you drink it early, please enjoy it at a higher temperature with a large glass.
It can be enjoyed sufficiently even now, but personally, I think that letting it age for another 1 to 2 years will smooth out the edges of the fruit and bring out its true value.
