2018 had relatively high temperatures, summer rainfall, and two typhoons hitting in September, so it was not a year blessed with good weather.
The grapes in our vineyard located at an altitude of 700m were no exception.
However, thanks to thorough leaf removal, pest control timing, new shoot management, and thinning, both Cabernet and Merlot have yielded well with no issues in coloration.
The Cabernet has good coloration and retains a moderate acidity.
The Merlot has been planted for 4 to 5 years, and it has finally developed its characteristic soft flavor.
By blending the structured Cabernet with the soft Merlot, please enjoy the complexity of the intertwined flavors of the two grape varieties and the exquisite balance of the blend.
