Merlot grows well even in hot and humid conditions and is a variety suited to the environment of Toyama Prefecture. Only clusters that took about 10 minutes each to thoroughly remove and check for diseased or unripe grapes were used.
The fruit flavor is mild. Aromas of mushrooms, leaf mold, and shaded forest. Supple acidity and smooth tannins with a pleasant texture harmonize in a well-balanced way.
