Made from Merlot (97%) and Pinot Noir (3%) grown in Makioka Town, Yamanashi City. By co-fermenting Merlot and Pinot Noir, the unique aroma and flavor of Merlot, which could not be seen with Merlot alone, stand out more. After 11 months of aging in new French oak barrels and bottle aging, it becomes a well-balanced wine with a light and charming fruit aroma characteristic of Sanyo Wine. During hot seasons when red wine is less appealing, it is also recommended to pair it with simple steamed vegetables.
