We carefully select and harvest Merlot grapes cultivated with great care in our own vineyard and those of our shareholders, then age the wine for one and a half years using small barrels. The soil in Iwasaki, where the vineyard is located, is volcanic clay, and by fully ripening the grapes, the wine develops a fragrant and mellow taste similar to Merlot from the clay-rich right bank of Bordeaux. This is a proud product that makes the most of the terroir of Katsunuma Town.

The flavor features aromas of black cherry and plum with bouquets of black pepper and vanilla, along with nuances of forest undergrowth. The charming fruitiness and velvety tannins harmonize beautifully with moderate acidity, and the finish lingers long. It is an elegant and embracing wine with a gentle taste that captivates.
