Itoshima Masue Winery / Koshu ko lehena 2023 (Orange) 750ml
Regular Price ¥2,750Using Koshu grapes characterized by acidity, only the skins and seeds were extracted and finished unfiltered.
This is the first wine made by Itoshima Masue Winery. It is read as 2023 Ko-Reena and means "the year 2023 is the beginning" in Basque (the language of the Basque region in Spain). It was named by the local people who took care of us during the Basque inspection, which was the starting point for making wine to enjoy with local fish.
The grapes used as the raw material for the wine are not from Itoshima, but from harvesting the grapes to preparation, fermentation management, and blending, we handled most of the processes ourselves, making it an unmistakable first vintage wine.
