Curvedocchi / Albarino Renault 2024 (White) 750ml
Regular Price ¥4,620/
including tax
The Cépages series aims to faithfully express varietal character and terroir.
As the French word Le nord means "north," this is Albarino from purchased grapes in Yamagata and Niigata.
Although Albarino is cultivated in various regions across Japan from Hokkaido to Kyushu, considering precipitation and accumulated temperature, we see great potential for Albarino grown in Hokuriku and Tohoku.
Our own vineyard has sandy soil near the coast, but Yamagata has strong clay soil in the mountains. Naturally, if the soil is different, the grapes and wine will be completely different.
The powerful attack and fresh flavor not found in sandy soil make you feel the difference in terroir.
In 2024, we created it with the image of supporting the fruitiness with Petit Manseng while making use of the strong structure typical of Yamagata, and a very small amount from our own vineyard to support the top aroma.
You can sense notes of citrus, yellow peach, apricot, green apple, fermented butter, and refreshing herbs. When tasted, clear minerals like spring water spread, and the acidity characteristic of the variety and slight bitterness tighten the finish.
This Le Nord is the "Albarino of the mountains." Please enjoy the powerful and fresh terroir that differs from the sandy Albarino.
