In 2020, there was almost no impact from typhoons or autumn rains. The production of red wine increased dramatically, and the number of premium cuvées also rose. As a result, this blend of Woody Rouge includes varieties that have been blended for the first time.
What we seek in our regular red wine from the beginning is smoothness and approachability. By keeping the extraction of all varieties, including the main Merlot, moderate, we aim to suppress bitterness, astringency, and greenness, making the fruitiness more pronounced. While the inherent characteristics of the materials become more subdued, the overall balance becomes very gentle, and the aroma spreads out complexly. By being released after a period of aging from bottling, the taste is already at its drinking peak.
Tannins are in a very gentle state, so it is also recommended to drink them chilled.
It will be a valuable flavor for various everyday dining tables.
