The city of Uozu, with the rugged Tateyama mountain range in front of it, is also known for its game such as black bears, wild boars, and Japanese deer. It is based on the concept of a rosé wine that "embraces" the blessings of the mountains.
The grapes are made from one of the few Merlot varieties grown on trellises at KANATA WINERY, and after cold maceration, they are pressed and fermented.
This is a rosé wine that pairs well not only with game but also with vegetables, wild plants, and medicinal cuisine.
