Fattoria da Sassino / Hirosaki Nebbiolo 2020 (Red) 750ml
Regular Price ¥4,378A representative wine of Sassino made from Nebbiolo grapes aged 8 to 16 years, grown in our own vineyard of about 1.5 hectares overlooking the sacred peak of Iwaki Mountain in Tsugaru.
The year 2020 had a lot of rainfall during the summer and autumn, but it became a vintage with the highest harvest yield on record.
The harvest of fully ripe Nebbiolo is done entirely by hand, followed by careful selection, and the wine is made with malolactic fermentation and aging for about 10 months in French 228L barrels.
A deep garnet color that evokes barrel aging, with complex aromas of raspberry jam, roses, and violets.
It has a broad and modest flavor with a sense of elegance.
The supple tannins and well-balanced acidity are impressive.
