Itoshima Masue Winery / Koshu ko lehena 2023 (Orange) 720ml
Regular price ¥2,750Made using Koshu grapes known for their acidity, only the skins and seeds were extracted, and it was finished unfiltered.
This is the first wine made by Itoshima Masue Winery. It is read as "2023 Ko-Reena" and means "the year 2023 is the beginning" in Basque (the language of the Basque region in Spain). It was named by local people we met during a Basque inspection trip, which inspired us to make wine to enjoy with local fish.
The grapes used as raw materials for the wine are not from Itoshima, but this is undoubtedly our first vintage wine, with most of the processes—from grape harvesting to preparation, fermentation management, and blending—handled by us ourselves.
