2018 was not a year blessed with good weather, with relatively high temperatures, summer rainfall, and two typhoons hitting in September.
The grapes in our vineyard located at an altitude of 700 meters were no exception.
However, thanks to thorough leaf removal, pest control timing, shoot management, and fruit thinning, both Cabernet and Merlot yielded well with no issues in coloration.
The Cabernet shows good color and retains a moderate acidity.
The Merlot vines, planted 4 to 5 years ago, have finally developed their characteristic soft flavor.
Enjoy the complexity and well-balanced blend of two grape varieties by combining the structured Cabernet with the soft Merlot.
