The year 2023 was blessed with favorable weather.
For the tart MBA, it felt like a year with milder acidity. However, despite the good weather, late-ripening black varieties surprisingly suffered from many diseases and poor coloration.
Although the MBA had good color, many fruits were discarded due to severe rot.
I believe the grapes harvested under these conditions turned into a straightforward and delicious wine.
The grapes were destemmed and fermented for about a month at low temperature with minimal pigeage. After that, the wine was rested for about three months before bottling.
Enjoy the pure taste of 100% grapes with nothing added.
