Destemmed grapes and pressed. After 5 days of skin contact, the juice was racked into a tank and aged in a temperature-controlled stainless steel tank. Sulfites were added at 22.4 mg/L after malolactic fermentation and at the time of packing. Flavor profile: aromas of cinnamon, cassis, raspberry, and tanned leather. Despite the youth of the vintage, the taste is complex and grand in scale. The tannins are smooth with a refined texture. Wrapped in a long finish.
~About the release background~
With the desire for everyone to enjoy KAZU WINE daily, we have been planning a bag-in-box for some time. Through a friend's connection, production became possible in La Mancha, Spain's largest wine-producing region, and we visited in September 2022. We rented a corner of a local winery called Bodegas Don Fadrique and spent four days and three nights making it.
The concept of KAZU MAX is "Wine that lifts you up every day." To achieve a low alcohol content and a clean, easy-to-drink taste, the grapes are harvested earlier than usual and aged in stainless steel tanks. Even though the form is casual, there is no cutting corners. We use carefully selected organic grapes just like bottled wine and produce it with the same process as usual. Also, many original stickers are included. The outer box is a regular cardboard box, so please decorate it with stickers and customize it freely. This is a confident work we especially recommend to those who have the impression that "box wine is low quality." Please give it a try.
