Kimura Sellers
Kimura Cellars was established in 2009 in Marlborough, New Zealand, with the dream of "creating wines that overflow with many smiles." We aim to cultivate grapes without the use of herbicides or pesticides. Since taking over ownership of our own vineyard, we have been converting to organic farming methods. While this requires more time and effort than conventional farming, we are committed to creating healthy soil and producing delicious wine from the grapes grown there. It is one of the few small-scale producers in Marlboro. There is a new shoot of a fern native to New Zealand called KORU. When releasing our first vintage, I wanted to create a wine logo using cork and cherry blossoms, which are also symbols of Japan. I incorporated the desire to connect New Zealand and Japan, as well as the hopes for the departure and development of Kimura Cellars, into the label. |
