Itoshima Masue Winery / Koshu ko lehena 2023 (Orange) 750ml
Regular Price ¥2,750Using the Kōshū grape, characterized by its acidity, we extracted only the skins and seeds and finished it unfiltered.
This is the first wine made by Itoshima Masue Winery. It is read as "2023 Ko-Reina" and means "the year 2023 is the year of beginnings" in Basque (the language of the Basque region of Spain). It was named by the local people who took care of us during our visit to the Basque region, which was the inspiration for making wine to enjoy with local fish.
The grapes, which are the raw materials for the wine, are not from Itoshima, but this is undoubtedly a first vintage wine that we have personally handled most of the processes, from grape harvesting to preparation, fermentation management, and blending.
