Yellow Magic Winery / Ashid Dela 2023 (Orange) 750ml

Made with 100% Delaware grapes grown without pesticide spraying (no Bordeaux mixture or sulfur compounds) in the Kanayama area of Nanyo City. The Delaware grapes were grown with plastic covering in spring, allowing the wind of Nanyo City to pass through sufficiently. To bring out the characteristic thick skin of the Delaware, the stems were not removed or crushed; instead, the grapes were crushed by foot inside the tank, then manually stirred once every two days to avoid excessive maceration, and made using a 50-day semi-maceration carbonic (SemiMC) process.

Especially, the Delaware grapes used as the raw material for this wine have very thick skins, from which you can sense the distinctive aromas of "plum" and "ume (Japanese apricot)". We expressed those nuances directly in the flavor of the wine. The color also leans quite a bit toward plum, and the bitterness from the stems tightens the taste. It can be enjoyed now, but I think it will also be delicious if aged to let the whole mature.
