This is a Pinot Noir made by Japanese winemaker Mr. Kimura in Marlborough, New Zealand, a renowned region for Pinot Noir. In the 2019 vintage, it won the GOLD Medal, an award given to only the top few percent, at the "International Wine Challenge," the world's largest wine competition with over 16,000 entries from more than 50 countries annually.
Ripe fruits such as raspberry, strawberry, and black cherry are complemented by nuances of roasted aromas, spices, and red flowers that spread from the glass to the palate. The taste is well balanced with pleasant acidity and enchanting red fruit flavors, finishing with an elegant astringency, resulting in a refined finish.
