This dry red wine uses 100% Steuben, a specialty product of the Tsugaru region in Aomori Prefecture, and features the pleasant acidity and tannins characteristic of cool northern grape varieties.
Tsugaru Wine Red Steuben Classic is positioned as a step above the standard Tsugaru Wine Red Steuben and was produced accordingly.
The hue is a pale ruby color, which changes to a light brick color with aging. It has berry fruit flavors and nuances of black tea. By soaking and aging with oak chips, it develops a subtle barrel aroma and a good balance of tannins, resulting in an elegant taste that feels light on the palate yet has depth.
