Takeda Winery / Sans Soufre Red 2020 (Red) 750ml
Regular Price ¥2,640This wine was made using grapes from a cultivation group in Tendo City, including Kazuo Hanawa, who has been entrusted with the cultivation of Muscat Bailey A by Takeda Winery for many years. The Berry A variety, bred in Japan, has a concentrated and powerful character when properly cultivated and brewed.
These grapes were finished using "sans soufre," without using sulfur dioxide. By not filtering at all and, of course, bottling it raw, it has been made into a powerful wine that allows you to fully enjoy the original taste of the grapes. Please enjoy the fresh red fruit aroma characteristic of Berry A and the lively acidity. To make wine without adding sulfur dioxide, it is essential that the grapes are healthy with no rotten fruit and a low pH value, as well as thorough sorting during processing and hygiene management within the winery. In brewing, we strive for as natural management as possible and to avoid stressing the grapes, with the winemaker regularly checking the condition with their own eyes and managing it manually.
With a deep color tone, the aroma of red fruits, a very good balance of fresh acidity and tannins, this is a powerful wine that allows you to fully enjoy the original taste of the grapes. The fact that we can be particular about the purchased grapes like this is unique to Takeda Winery, which owns its own vineyard and is well-versed in cultivation.
