This is the winery's flagship wine. It is a rich dry wine that fully expresses the terroir of the fertile land of Azumino.
Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon grown in our own vineyard at an altitude of 700m were blended and aged for 14 months in French oak. It is the same blend as in the Bordeaux region of France (Bordeaux blend). By blending, we achieved a highly refined wine that combines the tannins and strength of Cabernet Sauvignon with the richness and mellowness of Merlot.
The color is a beautiful ruby. It has aromas of ripe fruit and cassis, nuances of coffee and chocolate from barrel aging, and rich scents of spices and cedar. You can feel the concentrated fruitiness and firm astringency (tannins), with acidity finishing it off. It is a full-bodied red wine with a long, complex finish and a solid structure.
