Fattoria da Sassino / Scorpione 2021 (Red) 750ml

Wine made from grapes grown in our own vineyard of about 1.5 hectares, overlooking the sacred peak of Iwaki Mountain in Tsugaru.

The harvest of fully ripe Nebbiolo and Merlot is done entirely by hand, and after sorting, the wines are made separately. After malolactic fermentation in French 228L barrels and about 8 months of aging, they are blended.

A rich aroma that evokes black fruits like plums and cassis, as well as red fruits like raspberries and cherries, and hints of spice. On the palate, it offers a complex and rich flavor with a heavy and powerful fruitiness and nuances of vanilla.
The tannins blend smoothly, and the acidity that tightens the flavor is impressive.

This is a full-bodied wine that beautifully weaves together the elegance of the Italian variety Nebbiolo and the grace and suppleness of the Bordeaux variety Merlot.
