Curvedocchi / Parrot (Zweigelt) 2021 (Red) 750ml

A parrot made from sandy Zweigelt. We aim to create a liquid with charming Zweigelt aromas, rich fruitiness, and a complex, lingering umami. The year 2021 saw a significant drop in temperature after the Bon Festival, making it a wonderful year for this early-ripening variety. To enhance the quality of the fruit, we kept the maceration short, allowing for a vibrant acidity. The top aromas and the first impression on the palate are characteristically fruity for Zweigelt. Hiding in the background is a hint of acetic acid, which contributes to the complexity and lingering umami. Over time, it evolves to reveal various nuances of spice. This year, it has turned out to evoke the flavors I love, reminiscent of wines from southern France.
