Curvedocchi, having continuously engaged with sand, is embarking on a new challenge focusing on "soil."
Granite was born from grapes grown in the granite soil called "Hakushu" in Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture.
Hokuto City, Yamanashi Prefecture, nestled against the majestic Southern Alps mountains.
This cool highland area, ranging from 600 to 800 meters in elevation, is a rare sanctuary of "granite terroir."
Over tens of thousands of years, granite has weathered into white, sandy "masa soil," which provides excellent drainage.
but this harsh, nutrient-poor soil environment pushes the vines’ vitality to the limit, encouraging deep root growth that draws up the land’s character to produce concentrated fruit.
Generally, wines made from grapes grown in granite soil are elegant with pronounced acidity and mineral notes,
This Granite also fully showcases the soil’s character, resulting in a wine with a structure built on acidity and minerals.
Since 2023 was the first year we processed grapes from Hokuto, we crafted the wine to straightforwardly express the individuality of the soil and grapes.
Please enjoy the distinct expression unique to granite soil, clearly different from the vibrant and light wines produced in our Tsunokata Beach sandy soil.

Fresh acidity with notes of black cherry, graphite, violet, and black pepper, along with purple flowers and spicy nuances.
Silky tannins and a sleek, linear acidity spread across the palate.
While retaining the elegant soil-derived character, the transparent fruitiness typical of Curvedocchi remains intact.
