We carefully select and harvest Merlot cultivated with great care in our own fields and those of our shareholders, and age it for a year and a half using small barrels. The soil in Iwasaki, where the vineyard is located, has volcanic clay, which allows the grapes to ripen fully, resulting in a fragrant and mellow flavor similar to Merlot from the clay-rich right bank of Bordeaux. This is a proud product that showcases the terroir of Katsunuma.

The flavor features aromas of black cherry and plum, with a bouquet of black pepper and vanilla, along with nuances of forest underbrush. The attractive fruitiness and velvety tannins harmonize beautifully with a moderate acidity, leading to a long finish. It is elegant and full-bodied, with a gentle taste that is truly appealing.
