Using Kerlner and Sauvignon Blanc, this is one aspect of orange wine. We used two types of grapes to create a flavor that gently seeps into the body.
The maceration period for each variety is about one month. I believe this is the right amount of time to retain the characteristics of the variety while also incorporating the nuances of orange wine.
By mixing in just a small amount of Pinot Noir skins during maceration, we added an extra layer of complexity.
The finished wine has a refreshing atmosphere with the trolley-like Muscat aroma of Kerner mixed with the ginger-like nuances of Sauvignon Blanc.
