The Funpy series pursues the potential of table grapes and aims for a fun and happy flavor.
In 2024, the base is Delaware and Niagara, with small amounts of Koshu and Sauvignon Blanc blended in. Each variety is fermented separately, using both natural and cultured yeast to create a crisp taste and rich fruitiness.
In 2024, the ratio of green Delaware increased. However, this green Delaware is not the sharply sour kind but rather slightly early-harvested Delaware, so it’s not too sour and adds a slight sharpness overall. The key to the Funpy series’ flavor is the blend of Labrusca and Vitis vinifera.
By adding a very small amount of Vitis vinifera to table grapes, the wine achieves a floral yet lasting finish. This year, the addition of just 6% Sauvignon Blanc has created a typical Funpy-style finish.
Aroma of grapefruit, lime, apple, and almonds, with rich fruitiness of white grapes, gentle acidity, and a lingering finish with the scent of green apple that spreads smoothly.
The flavor remains stable and does not decline even one week after opening.
This year's characteristic is a good balance of acidity and fruitiness. The juicy taste is pleasant, resulting in a stress-free, easy-to-drink finish typical of Funpy. Please chill well and enjoy it outdoors in a pleasant plaza or on a terrace.
