The Funpy series explores the potential of table grapes and aims for a fun and happy flavor. Funpy Orange is based on Delaware and Niagara grapes, with a very small amount of Kerner and Sauvignon Blanc as ingredients. It is crafted in a light style to be approachable even for those unfamiliar with orange wine. Right after bottling, the aroma felt heavy and subdued, which was a bit nerve-wracking, but now it is bright and light, truly FUNPY. The top notes feature a glamorous nuance of tropical fruits and muscat aroma, with a ginger sensation derived from the whole cluster. The taste is dry and light, with a tannic sensation from maceration also noticeable.
We tasted it at various temperatures, and it seems best balanced when not overly chilled.
