Chateau Mercian / Shiojiri Merlot 2018 (Red)
Regular price ¥7,260This red wine features elegant and soft tannins made from "Merlot" grapes from the Shiojiri region of Nagano Prefecture. It offers a well-balanced sensation of robust fruitiness, spicy aroma, fresh acidity, and rich tannins. Grape cultivation has been practiced in the Shiojiri region of Nagano Prefecture since the Meiji era, and in 1976, the cultivation of the "Merlot" variety began in collaboration with contracted farmers who shared the vision of Usuke Asai (Shogo Asai), known as the "Father of Modern Japanese Wine." Today, it is one of Japan's representative Merlot-producing regions.
