Takeda Winery / Saint-Suffre (red)
Regular Price ¥2,640This wine is made using grapes from a cultivation group in Tendo City, led by Mr. Kazuo Hanawa, who has been entrusted by Takeda Winery for many years to cultivate the Muscat Berry A variety. This is the Berry A variety that has been improved in Japan. Those that are carefully cultivated and brewed have a sense of concentration and strength.
The grapes were finished using "Sans Soufre" without the use of sulfur dioxide. By not filtering at all and of course bottling it unfiltered, it has become a powerful wine that allows you to enjoy the true flavor of the grapes. Please enjoy the fresh red fruit aroma of Berry A and the lively acidity. To finish the wine without adding sulfur dioxide, it is essential to use healthy grapes that are free from rotten fruit and have a low pH value, as well as thorough selection during the preparation process and hygiene management within the winery. In the winemaking process, we strive for as natural management as possible and to avoid putting pressure on the grapes, with the winemaker regularly checking the condition with their own eyes and managing it by hand.
This is a powerful wine with a deep color, the aroma of red fruits, and a very good balance of fresh acidity and tannins, allowing you to fully enjoy the true flavor of the grapes. It can be said that the ability to be particular about the grapes purchased is unique to Takeda Winery, which owns its own vineyards and is well-versed in cultivation.
