Man's Wine (Kozuromori Winery) / Solaris Chikugogawa Merlot 2018 (Red)
Regular Price ¥5,500We use Merlot from our own managed and contracted vineyards located in the Osato area of Komoro City, situated in the eastern region of the Chikuma River Wine Valley in Nagano Prefecture. Man's Wine was one of the first in this area to start cultivating European grape varieties, with some vines over 30 years old. The grapes are carefully harvested, sorted, and destemmed by hand, then fermented in stainless steel tanks and aged in barrels for about 20 months. It features a smooth and well-balanced taste. The appearance is deep, with a dark garnet hue. The aroma is still somewhat closed but harmonizes elegantly with clean fruit scents and oak notes. Firm tannins and soft acidity create a well-balanced and moderate drinking experience. This wine has high potential, and we look forward to its development through further aging.
