In the Tazawa area of Togakushi City, where the Villa Dest Winery is located, some of our own vineyards have been growing grapes without synthetic pesticides since 2006. The Merlot harvested from these vineyards is fermented with natural yeasts that occur on the grapes and bottled unfiltered. It is a "nature-style" red wine with minimal use of preservatives.
This wine has a "gentle" personality and charm that is different from the orthodox Vignolons Reserve.
Barrel aged for approximately one and a half years.
