We are blending 14 types of European varieties, primarily using Merlot harvested from our own fields in Makikyu Town, Yamanashi City.
Fermented in a stainless steel tank for 21 days, then left to settle for about 2 weeks after racking, and quickly bottled without filtration.
With its vivid ruby color, the 2023VT offers a fresh taste, a concentration of fruit bathed in strong sunlight, and a lingering bitterness that adds an accent.
The name "mäki" in the wine name mäkioka means "hill" in Finnish, and we adopted it as it perfectly fits this wine made from European grape varieties nurtured in the pastoral hills.
