Yellow Magic Winery / GROOOVE DELA YARO 2023 (Orange) 750ml

The Delaware grapes from the "TEF (Living with Grapes)" group, active in Honzawa, Yamagata City, have been made into a 40-day mille-feuille MC and a normally fermented version. This wine is a blend of three types of fully ripe Delaware wine from Takahashi-kun, who is working at the post office while doing weekend farming to preserve his late father's farm in Ueno, Nanyo City. I wanted to express the unique fruitiness of Yamagata Delaware, so I used mille-feuille for carbonic maceration to bring out the nuances of the grape skins, and in the normal fermentation, I carefully extracted the umami at low temperatures. I created this orange wine with the desire to drink something like this, using the Delaware grapes from the weekend farming groups of Yamagata City and Nanyo City.

Aroma, viscosity, umami, sharpness... I am confident that it can be enjoyed with various dishes. The name naturally comes from "Dela Yaro." Reflecting on my over 30 years of brewing experience, I think of the "Delaware" grape, which was once a minority and now can be said to be on the opposite side. To express the potential of this grape, I used "weightlifting" as a motif, paying respect to the gold medal from the Tokyo Olympics in 1964. The "O" in GLOOVE and the number of weightlifting athletes represent the number of blends.
