Woody Farm / Albariño Late Harvest 2022 (White) 750ml
Regular Price ¥4,730This is a variety of Spanish origin that was cultivated and brewed for the first time in Yamagata Prefecture.
It is a promising variety that has disease resistance even in a humid climate and maintains a consistently high level of both sugar and acidity compared to other varieties, which has been steadily expanded by the owner, Kimura, since around 2011.
As of now (November 2023), we are managing a total of about 2.2 hectares of fields using the Ichimonji short pruning method. From the three fields primarily consisting of gravelly red soil, we aim to produce over 12,000 bottles of Albarino in the future.
A wine characterized by a clear aroma reminiscent of white peach and lemon tea, along with a rich acidity, is being born, and the 【Kamiyama-produced Albariño】 will leave a significant impact on Yamagata and Japanese food culture.
