Curved Otter / Albarino 2023 (White) 750ml

The year 2023 was marked by high temperatures and drought. The grape variety that was most affected by the harsh climate was Albariño. Despite it being summer, the leaves began to change color, and in fact, many vines shed their leaves before harvest, resulting in clusters with shriveled grapes.
The otter, which was originally not planned to be made in 2023, was created by gathering the bunches of Albariño that had fallen before the harvest.
Brewing, true to the animal series, involves barrel fermentation and aging using natural yeast in old barrels after a two-day maceration.
The top notes are the scents of citrus fruits like mandarin, lemon, and lime, along with tropical fruits like pineapple. Beneath that, you can faintly detect frozen top oolong tea and jasmine.
Compared to the standard cuvée that evokes the elegance of perfume, this complexity, with its various mingling aromas, may represent another facet of Albariño. On the palate, there is a soft yet gripping acidity that distinguishes it from the other animal series.
The hardness felt from the liquid suggests future aging potential.
