Coco Farm Winery / Ima Koko Red 2024 (Red) 750ml
Regular price ¥2,860“Ima Koko” featuring calligraphy by Mitsuo Aida, who was born and lived in Ashikaga, on the label.
Grapes carefully cultivated across Japan, including Bordeaux varieties Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon, as well as the uniquely Japanese Muscat Bailey A, were fermented with wild yeast and wild lactic acid bacteria at the Ashikaga winery. This is a gentle and hopeful red wine.
Aroma includes fruits like raspberry, strawberry, and blueberry, spicy notes like green pepper, along with nuances of licorice and cocoa from barrel aging.
Light and fresh attack, very gentle tannins with no sharpness in flavor, and moderate acidity that gives the wine a refreshing quality.
Enjoy a supple and well-balanced taste through the finish.
